“I’ve always enjoyed working at Unit4. We have great solutions for our customers, great people and a great culture.”

Name

Patric Mure

Job Role

Sales Director UK & Ireland

How long have you worked at Unit4?

I’ve enjoyed working for Unit4 in different roles for more than 14 1/2 years.

What previous roles have you held?

I started as a sales rep back in 2005, focusing on the PSO sector in Sweden. In 2006, I became Business Area Manager for the PSO sector in Sweden, still carrying a personal quota. In 2010, I was appointed my first Sales Manager/Director role, focusing on New Business in the Private sector in Sweden. Since then I’ve had different Sales lead roles depending on how we’ve structured the company over time, all in Sweden. I’ve always enjoyed working at Unit4. We have great solutions for our customers, great people and a great culture.

I didn’t plan on returning to Unit4 so soon, but in 2019 when Jeremias told me about the opportunity in the UK & Ireland I couldn’t resist.

In 2018, I decided to take on a challenge outside of Unit4, working within the sales and marketing space. I didn’t plan on returning to Unit4 so soon, but in 2019 when Jeremias told me about the opportunity in the UK & Ireland I couldn’t resist. I came back to an even better company than the one I left the previous year and I'm really enjoying being part of our journey!

What does your role involve?

Apart from keeping track of our pipeline and forecast and supporting the Account Managers in their day to day activities, a lot of my day involves engagement with other parts of the business, trying to improve how we work together, freeing up time for the Account Managers to be able to focus on creating value for our customers, rather than being stuck doing administrative tasks.

Who are the other members of your team?

Since September 7th, I have 11 people in the team and one vacancy. 8 of them are Account Managers focusing on specific industries. 2 are working with our user groups and 1 Customer Success Director.

What’s your main focus for 2020?

I’m targeted on the total existing business sales in UK & Ireland. This means all software revenue originating from our “Field” Account Managers, as well as our “Digital” Account Managers reporting to Amie Brillu-Ogden. Together we are the Existing Business Sales Team in UKI. However, there are many other important success criteria for us including; making sure customers utilize more of the product they’re on, customers sign up to use additional products like FP&A and Intuo, and that customers are upgrading and migrating to our latest cloud. On an overall level we’re trying to become more of a trusted partner for our customers. To achieve this Eva Fossdal took on the role of Customer Success Director at the beginning of the year. Without customer success it’s impossible for us to be successful as a business in the long run.

Finally, which celebrity or person from history would you most want to be stuck in lock-down with and why?

This is a difficult one. There are so many inspiring and interesting people to chose from, but I’ve always looked up to Richard Branson, so I’ll pick him. I think he’d have enough stories to last an entire lock down. I know he’s a Kite surfer and if I played my cards right he might invite me to Kite surf on his private island in the Caribbean. I’d like that!
