Job Description

You will report to the Chief Customer Officer as part of the senior leadership team of our Customer Success Division, comprising of University4U (Education), Professional Services, Customer Support, Customer Experience, Global Service Delivery and – driving our service product strategy and development – Success Engineering (Service Portfolio Management).

  • In conjunction with our Service Portfolio Management team (Success Engineering) develop a world class customer learning and education strategy that spans across all of Unit4’s stakeholder base.
  • Build a scalable staff, partner and customer education program that maximises time to first value and helps:
    • Customers to progressively advance their product usage to expand value over time.
    • Unit4 staff to effectively onboard, expand and support our products.
    • Partners to advance their abilities to onboard, expand and support our products.
  • Work closely with our Product & Engineering and Customer Success teams to build best in class training assets and materials to enable us to meet our stakeholders’ needs.
  • Own and evolve the customer education roadmap, continuously building and adding learning paths for new and existing customers, Unit4 staff and partners.
  • Create an enjoyable, cohesive and relevant learning experience across all learning resources that you will own. These include our University4U academy, in-product education and supporting materials for launch of new features and products.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of the various customer stakeholder roles within the Enterprise Resource Planning ecosystem, across the industry verticals in which we operate, to create specialized and optimized learning paths. This may range from embedded quick hit videos, to full fledged certification programs for functional users, or our partner programs.
  • Design, implement & measure the results of all of Unit4’s customer learning programs.
  • Manage a team of learning specialists, helping coach and develop their skills with your expertise in adult learning.


Ideal Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience within the software as a service (SaaS) industry with a clear understanding of how to deliver value additive services within this environment. Ideally you will have worked in a sales, customer, and/or partner enablement role and are able to articulate how to position compelling education offerings to meet the needs of these groups.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset in your previous roles, showing the ability to evolve offerings in line with market changes (for example a shift from on-premise to SaaS) as well as through iterative, feedback based product improvement.
  • A background in training, curriculum development, or something similar, specifically within customer education and customer enablement.
  • You have practical business understanding with genuine passion for technology, entrepreneurship and making customers successful.
  • You are a good communicator with finely honed communication skills: you are able to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership as well as mastering change management.
  • You have experience leveraging a wide range of learning systems / tactics and Learning Management Systems (LMS) and are able to demonstrate creation of scalable processes and offers to maintain execution efficiency and profitability.
  • You’re a proactive leader who is independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, aligning resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.
  • You have a high-energy, team-first attitude and you are motivated to work in an ever-changing environment to help our growing customer base.
  • You possess outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills in managing workload and internal customers.
