Celebrating International Equal Pay Day
As we mark International Equal Pay Day today, we look at our path to ensuring pay parity across our global organization.
The landscape in 2024
Right now, we are pleased that our gender pay results compare favorably with similar organizations. We continue to manage our pay and promotion practices in an equitable way, including the use of gender pay software to carry out deep analysis of our current status and ensure we are compliant with all gender pay reporting requirements around the world, and the implementation of robust compensation governance procedures to ensure gender pay parity.
But this isn’t enough, we want to go further, especially in terms of recruiting more women across our broad range of roles and appointing more women into senior positions.
Shaping an equitable future
Beyond pay and bonuses, we offer benefits and programs that support women in the workplace. One of these programs is our mid-life health and menopause support offering via Maven. We believe that supporting women at a time when they might otherwise step back from their careers, helps ensure we keep our female talent while maintaining our gender pay ratios. And more than this, we believe it is ethically and morally the right thing to do and aligned to the values at the core of Unit4.
To further embed the importance of gender equity at Unit4, our Women Employee Resource Group, Sponsored by Unit4 General Counsel, Michelle Eisenberg, has also recently implemented four key measures that must be applied in all our interactions.
- Gender representation in Unit4 events and processes
- Gender balance in guest speakers, internal speakers and panel members will be applied to all Unit4 external events including X4U and XKO.
- Gender balance in guest speakers, internal speakers and panel members will be applied to all large Unit4 internal events including company town halls.
- Gender balance will be applied for all company major steering committees.
- Talent acquisition
- At least one woman will be involved in our interviewing processes (excluding talent acquisition) - in the panel and decision-making for a new hire (for all job levels and functions).
- Talent development
- Each member of our Global Leadership Team will mentor at least one aspiring woman leader at Unit4.
- Gender balance will be monitored and applied to participants in leadership development programs.
- Inclusive workplace
- Where possible, feminine hygiene products and portable fans will be available in all Unit4 offices starting FY25.
