Coding4U: Ongoing innovation through one team mentality

Five years ago, Coding4U was born as a simple idea:
create a space where engineers could connect, challenge themselves, and have fun through coding games.

No pressure. No silos. Just people, technology, and a shared experience. It was fantastic! What started as a small initiative quickly became a tradition; one that engineers look forward to, not because they have to … but because they want to.

Evolving With Us

Over the years, Coding4U has grown alongside us. We expanded beyond pure coding challenges, introducing new formats and games that welcome different perspectives and skill sets. We believe that innovation thrives better in teams — and great ideas don’t belong to just one role. The creativity emerges when diverse minds come together.

Coding4U 2026: One Team, Powered by AI

This year, we took it even further.

In alignment with our Unit4 strategy and our One Team SaaS behavior, Coding4U 2026 brought together Engineering and Product in a shared experience:

  • A time-travel escape room where every role has a purpose

  • A challenge where collaboration is key

  • An environment where the smart use of AI can make the difference

Inspired by a futuristic mission to save humanity, teams  were immersed into a story where they had to retrace events, solve challenges, and work together across perspectives to succeed

Because in today’s world, success isn’t just about writing code, it’s about how we think, how we collaborate, and how we use technology together.

Why It Matters

Coding4U is a reflection of how we work — and how we want work to feel:

✨ Inclusive – every role brings value
✨ Collaborative – we win as one team
✨ Innovative – we embrace AI and new ways of working
✨ Human – we enjoy the journey, not just the outcome

This is what happens when fun and technology meet with purpose.

At Unit4, we believe that when people feel connected, empowered, and inspired they do their best work.

Coding4U help us capture that spirit. It reminds us that behind every solution, every product, and every line of code —
there’s a team of people learning, experimenting, and growing together.

And that’s the kind of workplace we’re building.
