In this job of Head of PMO for our Professional Services organization in the UK&I you will be responsible for all projects of our Professional Services customers, in the United Kingdom and Ireland. As Head of PMO you will oversee the Professional Services involvement during the definition of the project scope, goals and deliverables.

Leadership

• You will lead the delivery portfolio, working closely with the SEM team, Resource Management and Practice Management to ensure maximum opportunity for success in each of the PS deliveries
• You will act as the escalation point for project issues
• You will lead the PM and PMO Team (employess and contractors) including staff hiring, performance management, coaching and development
• You will provide expert knowledge and direction to the team
• You will manage assignment of staff to ensure appropriate allocation of workload and achievement of staff targets, and makes prioritisation decisions where appropriate
• You will have oversight of the throughput and output of all PMs
• You will consolidate, manage and report on all delivery KPIs and reports for the Professional Services Organisation

Delivery Assurance

• You will assure the governance process, including ensuring compliance to the standardised delivery methodology. This includes
  • resource allocation
  • time and financial tracking
  • status reporting
  • assurance and quality control of deliverables
  • management of project information
  • risk and issue management
  • change control
• You will ensure quality and control best practices are followed at all times across the delivery portfolio so that projects are delivered to time, quality and revenue expectation
• You will ensure project resources have the correct tools and processes in place and that all relevant staff are trained and equipped to deliver successfully
• You will act as sponsor for high-profile and high-risk projects
• You will work closely with resource management to effectively resource plan for backlog and pipeline business
• You will take responsibility for baselining a realistic margin, working closely with resource management and Practice Managers to consider skills alignment and capacity for the implementation
• You will work closely with the SEM and sales teams to ensure a successful handover from sales to PS has taken place on each engagement

Continual Improvement

• You will champion the use of repeatable and efficient tools for project tracking and governenance
• You will work with the Global PMO team to support in their initiatives, and to feed in priorities based on UKI demands
• You will look for opportunities to evolve all facets of process, operation, org structure, tools, delivery method to drive continual gains in customer satisfaction, efficiency, quality.

You enjoy leading and coaching teams of people from all backgrounds and capabilities, motivating them and championing their development: sharing your knowledge, feedback, insight, tips and hints. All the while, you keep your teams focused on the right tasks to achieve the desired business outcomes.

You thrive on operating at pace whilst juggling multiple concurrent streams of work. You are disciplined in controlling the portfolio of projects, getting to grips quickly with the ‘so what’ to very carefully balance prioritisation judgement.

You are not afraid to change tack. You keep yourself informed and remain balanced and calm at times of high pressure, so you are decisive with the information you have and trust your judgement.
