Job Description

Role

To produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates the organisation's value proposition and differentiators in the marketplace.

You will have a technical understanding of the ERP/Finance environment with a view of developing in-depth knowledge of Unit4 propositions, services and capabilities and present these in a consistent, complaint and compelling way.  

This is a networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.

Experience

Proven skills in drafting and editing and reviewing ERP proposal content. The proposal writer will be able to interpret win themes in to compelling technical responses, participating in key review meetings/ final document review, content sign off and document production.

Thorough understanding of the ERP marketplace, ideally with Unit4's suite

Experience of coordinating and updating a knowledgebase system is beneficial.

Core Responsibilities

  • Understand Unit4’s proposition from a technical perspective and customer value perspective;
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required;
  • Proactively develop and manage a network of subject matter experts;
  • Assist in developing a proposal structure;
  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant;
  • Re-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery;
  • Ability to coach sales teams and subject matter experts in writing best practice;
  • Present all new proposal content to the knowledge base manager for potential re-use;
  • Communicate and influence at a senior level;
  • Strong time management / prioritisation skills;
  • Strong written English language skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Degree educated or professional writing background.
  • Certified to APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level preferred.
  • Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office.
