Job Description
Global Cloud Infrastructure Team is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer, who will work with an international team of people working on support of our commercial offerings. Unit4 is running a complex infrastructure spanning across Microsoft Azure and on-prem data centres. As a member of our team, you will work with Windows Server Virtual Machines deployed on Microsoft Azure and VMware, and support the setup of virtual networks and Azure native solutions.
Qualifications
From a perfect candidate we expect:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- General knowledge of Windows Server architecture and Active Directory
- Having general experience with Microsoft Azure
- Being familiar with VMware and virtualization technologies
- Being flexible for work which requires to be done outside of office hours and weekend on-call supports.
- Ability to prioritize and work individually and as part of a team
- Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to identify and resolve challenging situations
- Passion for learning technologies and curiosity for new ideas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with external customers
Nice to have:
- Microsoft certification is a plus.
- Experience in automating Windows systems through the use of Powershell or other related methods
- Experience with networking (VPN setup), file transfer servers, Microsoft SQL, PKI infrastructure
