What you will do
As a Regional Sales manager, you will create annual sales business plan for regional sales, create and maintain where necessary in-depth understanding of the higher education industry, current customers, and the value Unit4 solutions provide to customer and build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects. You will also generate leads via research targeted outreach and effectively present solutions including hands-on demonstration of our software products.
You will also coordinate people across the organization to ensure you bring the right team into meetings, conduct discovery in conjunction with Solutions Engineers to identify a prospect’s pains and opportunities for success and how our solutions provide unique value and effectively engage in contract negotiations. You will also close business to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quota, manage pipeline opportunities and CRM software and report sales metrics to Sales Management on a weekly basis.
You must have proven leadership skills, experience selling multi-million dollar deals in higher education technology, be proficient at conducting software demonstrations, have a robust understanding of our product modules and understand sales lifecycle of SaaS solutions. You must also have solid closing and negotiation skills, proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills and strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
You must also possess effective business skills and ability to communicate and present effectively with executive level positions, have the ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers, have strong analytical/problem solving skills, and be detail oriented, results-focused, and highly motivated.
You have to be self-motivated with ability to work within given policy and time constraints, have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team, and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the higher education industry.
You must be able to Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, have a certain degree of creativity and latitude and have strong technical skills and IT savvy with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in relevant area, have a minimum of 5 years related experience in Enterprise software sales preferred (SaaS sales preferred), and have a demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales position.
You will need very strong communications skills, you must be an experienced presenter with the ability to develop relationships, have experience using Salesforce.
